JUVÉDERM® is a family of hyaluronic-acid (HA) dermal fillers used to restore volume, smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (for example nasolabial folds), augment lips, cheeks, chin or jawline, and improve facial contour.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that binds water and helps maintain volume and fullness.

Yes — if you are in good general health, have signs of volume loss (under-eye hollowing, flattened cheeks, jowls), wrinkles or folds from aging, or want lip enhancement, then JUVÉDERM® may be ideal. However, if you have an active infection at the injection site, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain bleeding disorders or severe allergies, your provider may advise against it.

• Consultation: We review your facial anatomy, desired outcome, previous treatments, medical history.
• The procedure: JUVÉDERM® injections are typically performed in-office; topical numbing or local anesthetic may be used for comfort. The treatment may take ~15–30 minutes depending on area(s) treated.
• Immediately after: You’ll notice some immediate volume and smoothing; there may be minor swelling or redness.

• Onset: Results are often visible immediately or within days as the filler integrates.
• Duration: Depending on the specific JUVÉDERM® product used and treatment area, results may last up to 12–18 months or more. Some cheek/volume products last up to ~2 years in optimal cases.
• Note: Individual results vary based on metabolism, lifestyle, product choice, injection technique.

Common side-effects: redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or lumps at injection site.

Other considerations: As with all dermal fillers, there is a risk of vascular occlusion (rare), infection, or allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. Your provider will review these during your consultation.

• Minimal downtime: most clients return to daily activities soon after treatment.
• After-care tips: avoid heavy exercise, intense sun or heat (sauna/hot tubs) for ~24–48 hours; avoid massaging/pressing the treated area unless instructed; use ice/ cold compress if swelling occurs; follow your provider’s specific instructions for best results.
• Inform your provider if you develop persistent pain, lumps or changes.
